FACTS ABOUT CHRISTMAS

The Bible does not contain the word "Christmas”. It was Emperor Constantine who ordered everyone in the Roman Empire to celebrate the Winter Solstice as Christmas beginning from 336 AD.

Though it started as a celebration of a pagan festival, Christians have transformed it to mark the birth of Jesus Christ. Many Christians are aware that the date set aside for the celebration which is December 25th is not the birth date of our Lord Jesus Christ.

IS GOD'S LOVE UNCONDITIONAL?

If God's love is unconditional, does that mean there are no strings attached?  Want to start an interesting conversation among friends—or an endless argument among theologians? Ask this question: Is God’s love unconditional? Many will say yes. God is a loving God; in fact, God  is   love. So he’s going to love you no matter what you do. Someone who believes in this “no strings attached” kind of divine love might say, “Deep down you’re okay; God accepts you as you are—warts and all. God smiles on you even if you don’t jump through any hoops, because you have intrinsic worth. You can relax, bask in his smile, and let the basically good, real you emerge.” Others will say no. God is holy and his standard is absolute righteousness—perfection, even. If you are not righteous you do not deserve (and will not receive) God’s love. GOD MADE ADAM BOTH MALE AND FEMALE.

This should be obvious but it seems a lot of people are having problem with it. God made Adam male and female. In other words, when Adam was first created he was both male and female. For people that are finding it hard to accept this is what the bible says: (Genesis 1:27 KJV) So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. (Genesis 5:2 KJV) Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam , in the day when they were created. The first scripture in using the term "them" still seem to suggest that it was talking about both Adam and Eve and not only Adam at first. However the accounts in Matthew chapter 19 and Mark chapter 10 will give more insight. The concept of meditation has been mostly appropriated to other religions such as Hinduism and Buddhism and other eastern religions. Sadly, some Christians today have never practiced meditation the bible way, and typically when you ask some believers how many of them meditate on a regular basis, the answer is only a few.  There are many forms of meditations encompassing practices from different traditions, cultures, spiritual disciplines, and religions which are not in line with the concept of biblical meditation. Some of them include: Silent meditation which involves simply sitting in quiet without thoughts for anything. Calming meditation which involves focusing on a particular object which could be your breath, a mantra, a visualization without focus on God and His Word . Yoga meditation which may include sitting calmly on a rug, and/or listening to sonorous music. HOW TO APPLY OLD AND NEW TESTAMENT VERSES WHERE BOTH ARE IN CONFLICT

Have you ever been in a situation where you want to apply the Word of God but you find a verse in the Old Testament which seems to instruct you to do something completely different from what another verse in the New Testament says? For instance: Exodus 22:18 says "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live." Whereas Matthew 5:44 says But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;  Based on these two scriptures, if you see a witch being an enemy, what should you do? Kill the witch or love the witch?  The answer is however easy only if you can realise that the Old Covenant will not fit into the mold of the New Covenant because they are not the same and just like operating a New Constitution and the Old Constitution at the same time, it's going to keep causing confusion. The last supper of our Lord Jesus Christ was a passover feast on the Jewish Day of Preparation. He directed two of his disciples in the book of Luke 22:8 to go and make preparations for the passover feast by getting a room for the supper. ( Luke 22:8 KJV ) And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare us the passover, that we may eat.  ( Luke 22:12 KJV ) And he shall shew you a large upper room furnished: there make ready. In the course of the meal, Jesus gave bread and wine to his disciples to share amongst themselves and thereafter instructed them to do this in remembrance of him. The question is which of the activities did he instruct them to do in remembrance of him. Is it the celebration of the passover feast which at that point they were observing or his last supper, which was also part of his activities of the passover feast. There is so much misunderstanding in the Church today regarding the gift of prophecy. Many people believe that prophecy only refers to telling something before it happens. However, even in the Old Testament, the messages of the prophets contained as much, if not more, about the present than they did about the future. In Hebrew, the word translated prophecy is based on the word stem nābā, which simply means “to speak by divine inspiration, either in prediction or simple discourse.”  “ Prophecies ” is transliterated (i.e. brought straight over from Greek to English) from the noun  prophēteia . A CHRISTIAN DOES NOT NEED DELIVERANCE.

As a Christian, you need to first understand your position in the spiritual realm. That will tell you whether you need deliverance or not from any authority. Let's look at the following scriptures: (Ephesians 2:6 KJV) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: The above verse shows that you are seated with Christ Jesus in the heavenly places.
