BIBLE MEANING OF THE TERM "MAN OF GOD"

The term “Man of God” was used in the bible in reference to 13 individuals who were mostly known to be prophets. It means God’s spokesman; one who mediates between God and man and even representatives, of Christ, who is the one true and only Mediator between God and man. 

 The term was applied to Moses, Samuel, David, Shemaiah, Elijah, Elisha, and other prophets, and to Timothy in the New Testament.

 It was equally used in Judges 13:6, 8 in reference to angel Gabriel whom Manoah and the wife called a Man of God. Their usage of the term in these verses is considered appropriate seeing that the name Gabriel means “Man of God”, “Strong [or Mighty] Man of God”, “the Power of God” or “Strength of God” and he is also God’s spokesman.

DID JESUS ASCEND TO HEAVEN TWICE?

The question of Jesus ascending twice to heaven is not often asked because there is this general acceptance of only one ascension of Jesus which occurred in Acts 1:9, Mark 16:19 and Luke 24:51 (Acts 1:9 KJV) And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. (Mark 16:19 KJV) So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. (Luke 24:51 KJV) And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven. However, there is an evidence in the Bible that He had earlier ascended to His Father in Heaven prior to this final ascension in the above verses.  Before His death, Jesus specifically told His disciples in the book of John chapter 16 that He would be going to His Father (which is in Heaven). (John 16:16-17 KJV) A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.

THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD IS NOT THE SAME AS THE RIGHT-HAND SIDE OF GOD.

Someone asked, "Since Jesus sits at "the right hand of God" in heaven, who sits on God's left hand?  Many people are asking similar question because they have had this erroneous picture in their mind that when the bible says that Jesus sits at the right hand of God it was taking about the right-hand side of God. Notice that the bible never said the "right-hand side of God".  The Right Hand of God is not the same as the Right-Hand Side of God.  The bible was not talking about the sitting arrangements of their chairs or being in a certain location. That is probable the reason why  there's no such place mentioned in the bible as the "left hand side of God". The Right Hand Is Symbolic Biblically, the right hand symbolizes authority, power, and strength (Genesis 48:14 - 19, Exodus 15:6, Isaiah 23:11, 41:10, 45:1, Revelation 1:16 - 17 etc).  Like other figurative language, the “right hand” and “arm” are often symbolic, as we can see

THE WORD "BIBLE"

The word “Bible” comes from the Greek word τὰ βιβλία, tà biblía which means “ the books ”.  The word derived from the old city of Byblos (sometimes spelled Biblos ) in Phoenicia in Lebanon, since it was the main supplier of papyrus (paper) to the ancient world. PASTOR PAUL ADEFARASIN'S RECENT QUOTES ON TITHING.

In his sermon on November 1, 2017 titled ‘Abraham’s Blessings Are Already Upon My Life’, Pastor Paul said that, “Tithe is a way to show that God is the supplier of your resources. God blesses and I respond with my 10%. It is an honour system, it means the money is not your God. You won’t be cursed if you don’t tithe but when you tithe you are saying you recognize Him and it keeps the cycle moving.”  He equally explained why it is important to pay tithe to ordained Men of God and that this payment is not compulsory, as it will not stop anyone from enjoying God’s blessings.  Other quotes in the sermon are highlighted below:  “He (God) did not make everyone a preacher, Don’t let anyone tell you to take your tithe to charities, elsewhere.”  “A guy can not just show up and say he is an overseer. IS GOD'S LOVE UNCONDITIONAL?

If God's love is unconditional, does that mean there are no strings attached?  Want to start an interesting conversation among friends—or an endless argument among theologians? IN WHAT SENSE IS JESUS THE SON OF GOD?

By revelation, we know and believe that Jesus is the Son of God, the Creator of heaven and earth. In other words, the Almighty God is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. The question that many ask is, "if God does not have a wife, how is Jesus His Son?"  This question comes from the expectation that for one to be called a son, there must be a process of conception; i.e the process of becoming physically pregnant and child birth. Therefore, they say, since God has no wife, Jesus could not have been the Son of God. So we ask the question, in what sense then is Jesus the Son of God? Is He the Son of God the same way Adam was called the son of God in the book of Luke?  (Luke 3:38 KJV) Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God . DID JESUS REALLY DIE?

That Jesus died and was buried is one of the best-established facts about Jesus. The Bible says again and again that Jesus died. Some critics have argued that Jesus wasn’t completely dead when He was entombed. The Koran, claims that Jesus only seemed to be dead. Some skeptics have claimed that He merely appeared to be dead, possibly drugged, but revived while in the tomb and escaped to convince His disciples that He had risen from the dead. But when we examine the facts, what such theories suggest is physically impossible . The extent of Jesus’ tortures and wounds was such that no man could have survived the crucifixion and three days and nights isolated in a dark, cold tomb. To say that He was drugged ignores the record. He turned down the painkiller that was usually given to crucifixion victims (Mark 15:23).
