THE BIBLE NEVER SAID THAT ADAM AND EVE ATE AN APPLE.

There are several things we were taught while growing up which were not exactly accurate.

An example is this one that says that Adam and Eve ate an apple from the tree that God told them not to.

Well the bible did not mention that it was an apple. You may need to read it yourself in Genesis 3:3 & 6.

Genesis 3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

Genesis 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

There is so much misunderstanding in the Church today regarding the gift of prophecy. Many people believe that prophecy only refers to telling something before it happens. The term " Born Again Christian " is used to describe anyone that has received Jesus Christ as his/her personal Lord and Saviour. One who believes in Jesus Christ and one who has been regenerated through the agent of the Holy Spirit. The phrase "born again" can be seen in John chapter 3 in King James Version (KJV) and most other English Bible Versions. FACTS ABOUT JESUS BIRTH AND THE WISE MEN VISIT

Sometime after Jesus' birth, he was visited by Magi (magicians, or "wise-men"). We don't like the word magician so we soften it by interpreting it as "wise-men". Back then "Magi" were probably more highly educated and therefore wise. They probably studied many things including astronomy. That's why they paid attention to, and followed the "star". BIBLE MEANING OF THE TERM "MAN OF GOD"

The term “Man of God” was used in the bible in reference to 13 individuals who were mostly known to be prophets. It means God’s spokesman; one who mediates between God and man and even representatives, of Christ, who is the one true and only Mediator between God and man.  The term was applied to Moses, Samuel, David, Shemaiah, Elijah, Elisha, and other prophets, and to Timothy in the New Testament. It was equally used in Judges 13:6, 8 in reference to angel Gabriel whom Manoah and the wife called a Man of God.  Their usage of the term in these verses is considered appropriate seeing that the name Gabriel means “Man of God”, “Strong [or Mighty] Man of God”, “the Power of God” or “Strength of God” and he is also God’s spokesman. It was usual among Jews to call sinners dead men, because they are dead in trespasses and sins. Some bible references in support of this include: Ephesians 2:1 In the past you were dead because you sinned and fought against God.  Contemporary English Version. Colossians 2:13 You were dead, because you were sinful and were not God's people. But God let Christ make you alive, when he forgave all our sins.  Contemporary English Version. 1 Pet 4:6 The good news has even been preached to the dead, so that after they have been judged for what they have done in this life, their spirits will live with God.  Contemporary English Version. 1 Timothy 5:6 But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth. THE BEGINNING AND THE ENDING

We read in Revelation 1:8, that the Lord is the Alpha and Omega: (Revelation 1:8 KJV) I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending , saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. King James Version (KJV) of the Bible used the phrase " the beginning and the ending " to rightly explain the meaning of "Alpha and Omega". Notice that the above verse did not say, " the beginning and the end " like other verses in the book of Revelation. Rather it says, " the beginning and the ending " to remind us that the Lord knows no beginning, nor will he have any end with respect to time (year).  He shall continue to exist when all creatures shall cease to be.
