WHO WAS CAIN' S WIFE?

The Bible does not specifically say who Cain's wife was. The only possible answer was that Cain's wife was his sister or niece or great-niece, etc. The Bible does not say how old Cain was when he killed Abel (Genesis 4:8). Since they were both farmers, they were likely both full-grown adults, possibly with families of their own. Adam and Eve surely had given birth to more children than just Cain and Abel at the time Abel was killed. They definitely had many more children later (Genesis 5:4). The fact that Cain was scared for his own life after he killed Abel (Genesis 4:14) indicates that there were likely many other children and perhaps even grandchildren of Adam and Eve already living at that time. Cain's wife (Genesis 4:17) was a daughter or granddaughter of Adam and Eve. Since Adam and Eve were the first (and only) human beings, their children would have no other choice than to intermarry. God did not forbid inter-family marriage until much later when there were

FACTS ABOUT JESUS BIRTH AND THE WISE MEN VISIT

Sometime after Jesus' birth, he was visited by Magi (magicians, or "wise-men"). We don't like the word magician so we soften it by interpreting it as "wise-men". Back then "Magi" were probably more highly educated and therefore wise. They probably studied many things including astronomy. That's why they paid attention to, and followed the "star". It may or may not have been a real star. It could have been a confluence of planets (most likely) or it could just as easily have been a miraculous event since God can do anything. Some think that the "star" could have been an angel. We just don't know. The Magi came AFTER Jesus' birth AND after His presentation in the Temple (Luke 2:22-39). This happened 40 days that were required for Mary's purification. Therefore the Magi were not there on the night of his birth as manger scenes and Christmas cards, and many songs depict. "Little Drummer Boy" is just no

WHAT DOES THE BIBLE TEACH ABOUT GOD THE FATHER, GOD THE SON AND GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT?

The Hebrew word translated "God" in every passage of Genesis 1 as well as in more than 2,000 places throughout the Old Testament is Elohim. Elohim is a noun that is plural in form but normally singular in usage—that is, paired with singular verbs—when designating the true God. The word Eloah, meaning "Mighty One," is the singular form. Elohim, meaning "Mighty Ones," is plural. And, indeed, there are two Mighty Ones, the Most High and the Word. But, collectively, as Elohim, the two are seen as one God. We should note that since Elohim is used of the God family, each family member can be referred to by this word. (Some Bible writers also use the word elohim as a plural noun with plural usage to describe false gods. So one crucial factor in comprehending the meaning of this Hebrew word is determining what is intended by the context.) The Bible teaches a plurality within the Godhead in both the Old and New Testaments.  Let us now look at some of t

SCRIPTURAL PROOF THAT CHRIST WAS NOT BORN IN DECEMBER.

A clear proof that Christ was not born in December is shown in Luke 2:8. (Luke 2:8 KJV) And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. Shepherd's never kept flock in the open in the winter from October or November to the next spring. It was the custom to send flocks out after the Passover to stay until the first rain in October or November. It cannot be proved exactly when He was born.

FACTS ABOUT CHRISTMAS

The Bible does not contain the word "Christmas ”. It was  Emperor Constantine who ordered everyone in the Roman Empire to celebrate the Winter Solstice as Christmas beginning from 336 AD. Though it started as a celebration of a pagan festival, Christians have transformed it to mark the birth of Jesus Christ. Many Christians are aware that the date set aside for the celebration which is December 25th is not the birth date of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I CHANGE NOT. DOES GOD REPENT OR CHANGE HIS MIND?

The bible says in Malachi 3:6 (KJV) "For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed." What does this statement mean? Does God repent or change His mind? I change not could only refer to basic character and to keeping covenant, not to acts of judgment or mercy when needed. God has repented or changed His mind when it became necessary because of free moral agents revelling to the point of judgment and this was in keeping with His character. He is absolute in holiness and justice, and is morally and divinely obligated for the good of all to judge the few or all if need be or to show mercy to one and all should they meet the conditions of mercy. God does not and cannot change His original and eternal plan and purpose, but He can and does change some ways and means of fulfilling the plan.

WHAT IS ETERNAL LIFE?

The bible defines eternal life in John 17:3 as thus: (John 17:3 KJV) And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.  To know God eternally is eternal life. To know him for a time like Adam is temporary life Eternal life is not prolonged existence or eternal continuance of being, for all the wicked have this and will be punished in conscious existence forever. (Matthew 25:41 KJV) Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: It is not merely eternal existence but eternal knowing of God.

MEN ARE NOT GREATER SINNERS BECAUSE OF WHAT HAPPENS TO THEM.

Do you rejoice when you see your brother suffer loss? Do you always attribute the loss to that brothers' sin and think that they are greater sinners because of what happens to them. Well Jesus confirmed that men are not great sinners because of what happens to them but all men prior salvation are equally sinner and condemned before God. Check out the under listed verses: (Luke 13:2-5 KJV) And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?  I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

QUIZ: TEST YOUR KNOWLEDGE OF THE SCRIPTURES.

Most of us are familiar with this popular saying: "Heaven helps those who help themselves" Questions: In which book of the Bible can this statement be found? Who said it and in what occasion?

WHY DID OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST ALLOW JOHN THE BAPTIST TO BAPTIZE HIM?

Did you remember the story of Jesus going to Jordan River to be baptized of John. Ever wondered why he allowed John the Baptist to baptize him knowing that He is greater than John? John was reluctant to baptize him at first however Jesus told him to go ahead in order to fulfill all righteousness. Let's read the account in Matthew. Mat 3:13 Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. Mat 3:14 But John forbade him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? Mat 3:15 And Jesus answering said unto him,  Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfill all righteousness . Then he suffered him. From the above conversation, we could deduce that the reason why our Lord Jesus allow John to baptize him was so that they would fulfill all righteousness. Several Writers/Preachers have however speculated on what Jesus meant by that statement " for thus it becometh us to fulfill all righteousness".   They tr

WHY DIDN'T JESUS TURN THE STONES INTO BREAD?

Image
What the Devil asked of Jesus in Matthew 4:3 was something moral and there is nothing in God's law that says it would be wrong to create a meal from stones. So why didn't he turn the stone into bread? (Matthew 4:3 KJV) And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. Several reasons have been given for not turning the stones into bread by many writers and teachers but not all are accurate. Here are the reasons presented by some writers and teachers: " It was God’s will for Christ to overcome the sin of appetite that He may be an example for us." "The problem wasn't that God forbade turning stones into bread. The problem was that God hadn't authorized it." "If Jesus had turned the stones into bread, not only would He have been acting without authority, He also would have been demonstrating a lack of trust in God." "Turning stones into bread would have bee

ARE CHRISTIANS THE REDEEMED OR THE FRUIT OF REDEMPTION?

Just like all the other questions treated on this blog, we will look at what the scripture says about this question. Firstly, what does it mean to be redeemed? It means "to buy out" most times in reference to the purchase of a slave's freedom. It is related to the word 'ransom' The argument for saying that Christians are only Fruit of Redemption and not the Redeemed is from the standpoint that Christians are born again therefore without any past. In other words they cannot be the Redeemed since having no past they were never under any form of slavery for which they needed to be Redeemed. It posits that Christians are rather the fruit of His redemptive work on the Jews who were under slavery of sin. However, based on the definition stated above, the under listed scriptures support the argument that Christians are both the redeemed as well as the fruit of His redemption. Both the Jews and the Gentiles were under the slavery of sin. (1 Corinthians 6:

WHY DID OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST NOT PERFORM MANY MIRACLES IN NAZARETH?

Image
I have heard a lot of Preachers say that Jesus could not perform many miracle in Nazareth because the people's unbelief neutralized His power. They go as far as dramatizing it by showing that Jesus tried to heal a blind eye, a deaf ear or a lame man but couldn't because their unbelief neutralized Jesus' power. What exactly does the Bible say? (Matthew 13:54-58 KJV) And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?   Is not this the carpenter’s son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?  And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?  And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.  And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.  The Bible in

A CHRISTIAN DOES NOT NEED DELIVERANCE.

As a Christian, you need to first understand your position in the spiritual realm. That will tell you whether you need deliverance or not from any authority. Let's look at the following scriptures: (Ephesians 2:6 KJV) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: The above verse shows that you are seated with Christ Jesus in the heavenly places. Where exactly is Christ Jesus seated in these heavenly places. Look at other verses below: (Ephesians 1:20-21 KJV) Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,  Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come. From the verses it can be deduced that a Christian is seated with Christ Jesus in heavenly places; at the right hand of God; far above all principality, and power, and might, an
