IS HOMOSEXUALITY A SIN?

This is a question that many people tend to avoid for fear of offending some other people. For a Christian however, the Bible clearly provides the right answer to the question. Therefore, there should not be further search for answers or anymore debate on it. The answer can be found in the following verses:

(Leviticus 18:22 NLT) “Do not practice homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman. It is a detestable sin.

(Romans 1:27 NLT) "And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved."

(1 Corinthians 6:9-10 NLT) "Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people—none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God."

JACOB DID NOT WAIT FOR 7 OR 14 YEARS BEFORE LEAH/ RACHEL WERE GIVEN TO HIM. HE TOOK BOTH WIVES IMMEDIATELY.

Many Christians thought that Jacob worked seven years for Laban, realized that Laban deceived him to marry Leah, and then worked seven more years before finally getting married to Rachel. However the bible shows that he took both Leah and Rachel immediately before he began serving Laban. For clarity, I advise you to read this Jacob's story in other translations of the Bible aside King James Version (KJV). Meanwhile lets look at look at some of the facts from the Bible: (Genesis 29:21 KJV) And Jacob said unto Laban, Give me my wife, for my days are fulfilled, that I may go in unto her. Please note that the 7 years of service required of Jacob were the total dowry and not the customary waiting period before a wife was given to the groom. In other words, Jacob took Leah after the customary waiting period which was a couple of days just like we read in vs 21. WHAT IS SIN IN THE NEW TESTAMENT?

Many people are often unsure what sin is in the New Testament. The lack of clarity is because there are certain life events/ actions that do not have direct examples in the Bible for which they can reference to. For instance, someone that gave to charity might be committing a sin if his sole purpose is to post the action on social media. In such circumstances, how do you determine if your actions are sinful or not. In the New Testament, there are two key parameters for judging sin. The first one is love, the second one is faith. We will begin by taking a close look at these two parameters. The phrase “blasphemy against the Holy Spirit” is found in Matthew 12:31-32, Mark 3:28-29 and Luke 12:10. (Matthew 12:31-32 KJV) Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. 2 KINGS 3:27: THE INDIGNATION AGAINST ISRAEL WHEN THE KING OF MOAB BURNT A HUMAN BEING WAS NOT FROM GOD

One of the famous stories in the Bible is this story that was recorded in the book of 2 Kings chapter 3. The controversy in the story is in verse 27 where the Bible recorded that there was great indignation against Israel after the King of Moab made a burnt offering of a human being on the wall. (2 Kings 3:27 KJV) Then he took his eldest son that should have reigned in his stead, and offered him for a burnt offering upon the wall. And there was great indignation against Israel: and they departed from him, and returned to their own land.  Many believe that it was God that raised an indignation against Israel. However, it could not have been God as God could not have accepted human sacrifice going by His nature. EVIDENCE THAT THE SIX DAYS ACCOUNT OF GENESIS IS THAT OF RESTORATION NOT ORIGINAL CREATION

The Bible shows that only Genesis 1:1 gives the account of the original creation. Here, God created a perfect world. However, in Genesis 1:2, something happened to the perfect earth which caused it to become formless and void. From Genesis 1:3, the Bible describes the restoration of the earth to its perfection earth. It is not describing the original creation. Here is the evidence that the six days account of Genesis chapter 1 from verse 3 is that of restoration of the earth and not the original creation: It is a fact that dry land must have been created before the waters, or there would have been no place to hold the waters. WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE FATHER, THE SON AND THE HOLY GHOST IN THE NEW TESTAMENT?

We read in Matthew 28:19 " Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost " Notice the use of singular "name" in this verse, and yet it is referring to 3 persons. The disciples or Apostles who all knew Jesus personally recognized the name of the father. JESUS SAID YOU MUST BE “BORN FROM ABOVE” NOT "BORN AGAIN"?

The term " Born Again Christian " is used to describe anyone that has received Jesus Christ as his/her personal Lord and Saviour. One who believes in Jesus Christ and one who has been regenerated through the agent of the Holy Spirit. The phrase "born again" can be seen in John chapter 3 in King James Version (KJV) and most other English Bible Versions. (John 3:3 KJV) Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again , he cannot see the kingdom of God.  (John 3:3 CEV)  "Jesus replied, "I tell you for certain that you must be born from above before you can see God's kingdom!"  The Greek phrase is gennēthē anōthen which generally means "begotten from above" or "born from above". It was usual among Jews to call sinners dead men, because they are dead in trespasses and sins. Some bible references in support of this include: Ephesians 2:1 In the past you were dead because you sinned and fought against God.  Contemporary English Version. Colossians 2:13 You were dead, because you were sinful and were not God's people. But God let Christ make you alive, when he forgave all our sins.  Contemporary English Version. 1 Pet 4:6 The good news has even been preached to the dead, so that after they have been judged for what they have done in this life, their spirits will live with God.  Contemporary English Version. 1 Timothy 5:6 But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth.
