Abraham had two sons, the one by Sarah (a freewoman) and the other by Hagar (a bondwoman). However, we see in Genesis chapter 22 that in three different occasions, God referred to Isaac as the only son of Abraham, in total disregard of Ishmael as a son. WHY DID JESUS CALL SIMON, PETER (ROCK)?

Most of us are very familiar with the story in Matthew chapter 16 where Jesus said that Simon, who was one of His disciples, is Peter (which means rock). The question is, why did Jesus call him Rock? (Matthew 16:18 KJV) And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  (Matthew 16:18 NLT) Now I say to you that you are Peter (which means ‘rock’), and upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it. Before we answer the question, it is of note that there are many Believers and non Believers alike, who do not accept Peter as the Rock. WHY DIDN'T JESUS TURN THE STONES INTO BREAD?

What the Devil asked of Jesus in Matthew 4:3 was something moral and there is nothing in God's law that says it would be wrong to create a meal from stones. So why didn't he turn the stone into bread? HOW TO APPLY OLD AND NEW TESTAMENT VERSES WHERE BOTH ARE IN CONFLICT

Have you ever been in a situation where you want to apply the Word of God but you find a verse in the Old Testament which seems to instruct you to do something completely different from what another verse in the New Testament says? For instance: Exodus 22:18 says "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live." Whereas Matthew 5:44 says But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;  Based on these two scriptures, if you see a witch being an enemy, what should you do? Kill the witch or love the witch?  The answer is however easy only if you can realise that the Old Covenant will not fit into the mold of the New Covenant because they are not the same and just like operating a New Constitution and the Old Constitution at the same time, it's going to keep causing confusion. In the book of Revelation chapter 4, the bible made mention of twenty-four elders sitting on thrones in Heaven. Let us read the bible verses: (Revelation 4:4 KJV) And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.
