WHAT DOES IT MEAN THAT THE WOMAN IS A HELP MEET?

In Genesis chapter 2:18 God said he will make for Adam a help meet for him. What does that statement mean?

(Genesis 2:18 KJV) And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

Meet in this context is an adjective that means "suitable". What that scripture is saying is that God created a "help" for Adam and this helper was "meet" (suitable, fit, proper) for Him.

    Please sir, does it mean that some men don't need a help meet? i want to know why Apostle Paul supported celibacy for the servant of God, if women are really a help meet.

    A woman was created to be a helper suitable for a particular man. It is the duty of the man to find that one that is suitable/ proper for him. A man may decide that he does not need a helper but that does not mean that God did not create suitable one for him. It is his choice not to need a helper.

    There is no evidence from the bible that Apostle Paul supported celibacy. In 1 Timothy 3:2 he said for you to be a bishop you must be a husband of one wife. In 1 Cor 7:8-9, he said that the unmarried and widows can marry if they cannot exercise self control. This same scripture shows that he encouraged marriage but chose not to marry.

The term " Born Again Christian " is used to describe anyone that has received Jesus Christ as his/her personal Lord and Saviour. Sometime after Jesus' birth, he was visited by Magi (magicians, or "wise-men"). We don't like the word magician so we soften it by interpreting it as "wise-men". BIBLE MEANING OF THE TERM "MAN OF GOD"

The term “Man of God” was used in the bible in reference to 13 individuals who were mostly known to be prophets. It means God’s spokesman; one who mediates between God and man and even representatives, of Christ, who is the one true and only Mediator between God and man.  The term was applied to Moses, Samuel, David, Shemaiah, Elijah, Elisha, and other prophets, and to Timothy in the New Testament. It was equally used in Judges 13:6, 8 in reference to angel Gabriel whom Manoah and the wife called a Man of God.  Their usage of the term in these verses is considered appropriate seeing that the name Gabriel means “Man of God”, “Strong [or Mighty] Man of God”, “the Power of God” or “Strength of God” and he is also God’s spokesman. It was usual among Jews to call sinners dead men, because they are dead in trespasses and sins. Some bible references in support of this include: Ephesians 2:1 In the past you were dead because you sinned and fought against God.  Contemporary English Version. THE BEGINNING AND THE ENDING

We read in Revelation 1:8, that the Lord is the Alpha and Omega: (Revelation 1:8 KJV) I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending , saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. King James Version (KJV) of the Bible used the phrase " the beginning and the ending " to rightly explain the meaning of "Alpha and Omega". Notice that the above verse did not say, " the beginning and the end " like other verses in the book of Revelation. Rather it says, " the beginning and the ending " to remind us that the Lord knows no beginning, nor will he have any end with respect to time (year).  He shall continue to exist when all creatures shall cease to be.
