MOSES WAS NOT A JEW

Here's the thing. All Jews are Israelites, but not all Israelites are Jews (Exodus 2:1-10). 

Moses was an Israelite, but he was born of the tribe of Levi, not of Judah. 

The original name for the Israelites was Hebrews. The Word comes from the word "eyver" which refers to "the other side" referring to the fact that Abraham came from the other side of the Euphrates.

The word "Jew" is derived from the Name Judah.

Today, the word "Jew" is used to refer to all of the physical and spiritual descendants of Jacob and the word "Judaism" is used to refer to their beliefs. Technically, this usage is inaccurate.

    True. I suspect the reason people keep conflating these terms is purely political.

    also one of the consequences of this truth is that Christianity is actually an older religion than Judaism.

WHY DID OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST ALLOW JOHN THE BAPTIST TO BAPTIZE HIM?

Did you remember the story of Jesus going to Jordan River to be baptized of John. Ever wondered why he allowed John the Baptist to baptize him knowing that He is greater than John? John was reluctant to baptize him at first however Jesus told him to go ahead in order to fulfill all righteousness. Let's read the account in Matthew. Mat 3:13 Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. Mat 3:14 But John forbade him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? Mat 3:15 And Jesus answering said unto him,  Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfill all righteousness . Then he suffered him. From the above conversation, we could deduce that the reason why our Lord Jesus allow John to baptize him was so that they would fulfill all righteousness. THE 70 WEEKS OF DANIEL CHAPTER 9

The seventy "weeks" of Daniel is about the prophecy given by angel Gabriel to Daniel in chapter 9 of the book of Daniel in verses 24-27 in respect of the people of Israel and Jerusalem. Some people contend that Jesus' ministry was only for the Children of Israel and not for all mankind. Some Christians often quote the bible phrase " God is not the God of the dead, but of the living: for all live into him " as proof that people never really die, but rather their "soul" continues to live on after death. THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD IS NOT THE SAME AS THE RIGHT-HAND SIDE OF GOD.

Someone asked, "Since Jesus sits at "the right hand of God" in heaven, who sits on God's left hand?  Many people are asking similar question because they have had this erroneous picture in their mind that when the bible says that Jesus sits at the right hand of God it was taking about the right-hand side of God. Notice that the bible never said the "right-hand side of God".  The Right Hand of God is not the same as the Right-Hand Side of God.  The bible was not talking about the sitting arrangements of their chairs or being in a certain location. That is probable the reason why  there's no such place mentioned in the bible as the "left hand side of God". Most of us are very familiar with the story in Matthew chapter 16 where Jesus said that Simon, who was one of His disciples, is Peter (which means rock). The question is, why did Jesus call him Rock? (Matthew 16:18 KJV) And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  (Matthew 16:18 NLT) Now I say to you that you are Peter (which means ‘rock’), and upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it. Before we answer the question, it is of note that there are many Believers and non Believers alike, who do not accept Peter as the Rock. One of the famous stories in the Bible is this story that was recorded in the book of 2 Kings chapter 3. The controversy in the story is in verse 27 where the Bible recorded that there was great indignation against Israel after the King of Moab made a burnt offering of a human being on the wall. (2 Kings 3:27 KJV) Then he took his eldest son that should have reigned in his stead, and offered him for a burnt offering upon the wall. And there was great indignation against Israel: and they departed from him, and returned to their own land.  Many believe that it was God that raised an indignation against Israel. However, it could not have been God as God could not have accepted human sacrifice going by His nature.
