GOD MADE ADAM BOTH MALE AND FEMALE.
This should be obvious but it seems a lot of people are having problem with it. God made Adam male and female. In other words, when Adam was first created he was both male and female.
For people that are finding it hard to accept this is what the bible says:
(Genesis 1:27 KJV) So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
(Genesis 5:2 KJV) Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.
The first scripture in using the term "them" still seem to suggest that it was talking about both Adam and Eve and not only Adam at first. However the accounts in Matthew chapter 19 and Mark chapter 10 will give more insight.
(Matthew 19:3 KJV) The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?
(Matthew 19:4 KJV) And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,
(Matthew 19:5 KJV) And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?
If you closely follow the conversation, Jesus was saying that because at the beginning God made them one flesh (housing male and female) that is the same reason why a man will leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they two shall be one flesh.
It was when God saw that it was not good that a man should be alone that He separated the single flesh into two (one being male the other being female).
(Genesis 2:22-23 NET) Then the LORD God made a woman from the part he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. Then the man said, "This one at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; this one will be called 'woman,' for she was taken out of man."
(Matthew 2:24 KJV) Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
Why did God creates something and now say it is not good? Is God not that should had known that what he is creating will not be good?
ReplyDeleteGod's creation of man n woman was spiritual in the beginning and later made man physical by moulding him then He breath the spirit man into existence to the body formed. Man is a spirit, he has a soul and lives in the body.
If God had made man as man and woman he would not need to take a rib from man to form a woman. He would just commanded the separation. Just like the see to the lands.
Tell me, is there a male Angel n female Angel?
Marriage is first a physical thing. Two shall be one flesh and divorce is not a perfect will of God. Two flesh become one body. Just like Jesus and the church.
I am so glad to receive your comments. In my post above (as well as other posts) I tried to let the Word of God interpret itself.
DeleteYou asked, "Why did God create something and now say it is not good" Well that's what the bible says in Genesis 2:18 - Then the LORD God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.” Whether God should have known is another topic which I intend to treat later.
I was taught the same thing that God's creation of man and woman was first spiritual but I am yet to get sufficient bible backing for this teaching and therefore I do not consider it accurate. Rather the bible says in Gen 2:7, "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." In other words, he first made the physical body and then breathed into it the "breath of life" or the spirit (which is what returns to God who gave it upon Man's death. Eccl 12:7). This is what the bible stated.
You also asked, "If God had made man as man and woman he would not need to take a rib from man to form a woman. He would just commanded the separation." You could have also asked, "Why did God bother to create man from the dust of the earth? Why didnt He just command like he did with other creations" These two questions do not disprove that God made man both male and female as stated in Gen 1:27. We rather observed from the bible that He chose to form physical man (male) from the DUST and the female from man's RIB (which is also from the dust). We can deduce that in both cases that He thereafter breathed into them "the breath of life"
